​Job Title: Information Governance Advisor – 3569

On behalf of our Client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, MPA Recruitment welcomes suitable applications for the role of Information Governance Advisor in the Belfast area.

Location: Adelaide Street, Belfast

Hours of work: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm)

Salary range: £14.91

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Housing Executive's records (electronic and paper) in compliance with Public Records legislation.

• Preserve corporate memory and heritage, liaising with Public Records Office NI.

• Provide advice on legal and regulatory issues related to Records Management, such as Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts.

• Participate in implementing the RecordsNI EDRMS project.

• Review and update Disposal of Records Schedule.

• Manage and administer the RecordsNI EDRMS system, including security, file plan configuration, and running reports.

• Coordinate record reviews and destruction in line with disposal schedules.

• Liaise with IT Support for alignment with Records Management policies.

• Develop, maintain, and communicate Records Management policies and procedures.

• Research and prepare guidance on records management inquiries.

• Develop and deliver records management training and awareness.

• Work with Divisional Representatives for adherence to Records Management policy.

• Assist Data Protection Officer (DPO) in providing advice on Information Governance inquiries.

Your Profile:

Essential:

Applicants must provide evidence that they meet the following essential criteria:

• Possess a degree level qualification.

• Have at least 1 year of experience in an information governance or IT role which includes records management or project management.

• Can demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of best practice concerning records management.

Can demonstrate significant experience in 2 of the following 3 areas:

• Assisting in the administration of an Electronic Document and Records Management system.

• Assisting in the provision of advice/guidance relating to Records Management, or development of Records Management policy.

• Working in a project environment and meeting challenging project timescales.

Other:

Possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full.

Desirable:

Membership of the Information & Records Management Society, (IRMS).

Additional Information:

• A Basic Access NI Check is Required at a cost of £16.

• Full time, Temporary.
