MPA Recruitment Belfast is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for two dynamic Band 3 Administrative Assistants to join vibrant teams at Lagan Valley Hospital and Maghaberry. One of these roles is based in a hospital setting at Lagan Valley, while the other is within a unique prison environment in Maghaberry, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of healthcare services. Both of these posts are immediate starts following successful onboarding processes.

As an integral member of the team, you'll be handling a variety of administrative tasks that are essential to the smooth and efficient running of healthcare within the hospital and prison environments. You'll have the chance to work alongside dedicated professionals while using your initiative and problem-solving skills to make a real difference in a challenging and rewarding setting.

 

Location – Belfast

Hours of Work – 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Salary - £11.67

 

Job duties-

  • Be the first point of contact for a wide range of queries, delivering exceptional service with a courteous and professional approach that leaves a lasting impression.

  • Master various computer systems and software, ensuring patient information is accurate, up to date, and easily accessible, playing a vital role in the smooth flow of operations.

  • Manage waiting lists and handle both internal and external referrals, ensuring a seamless process that helps patients receive the care they need without delay.

  • Maximise clinical efficiency by scheduling appointments and organizing resources, ensuring tha clinical capacity is fully optimized to meet demand.

  • Coordinate essential patient services, from booking movement requests to securing interpreters and other patient-related needs, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

  • Take charge of maintaining organized and efficient medical records, keeping filing systems up-to-date and accessible to support critical healthcare decisions.

  • Handle a variety of typing duties such as reports, letters, and meeting minutes, contributing to effective communication within the team.

  • Share your expertise by assisting with the training and onboarding of new administrative staff, helping them thrive in their roles.

These duties emphasise your crucial role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and high-quality delivery of healthcare services. You’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced team, making an impact every day!

 

Essential Criteria

· 4 GCSE’s Grades A-C to include English Language (or equivalent

Qualification) plus 1year’s Secretarial /admin /clerical experience.

OR

NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent qualification) plus 1 year’s secretarial /admin /clerical experience.

OR

2 year’s secretarial /admin /clerical experience.

· Experience in using Microsoft packages to include WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK

· 37.5 hours per week – Monday - Friday

· Pay Rate: £11.67 per hour

· Immediate start available
