MPA have been appointed by a leading prevention medicine provider in Calgary to recruit for a Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The client is a collaborative practice which specialises within providing in depth prevention, cosmetic and healthcare services.
In this role, you will have an opportunity to provide personalized case which focuses upon preventing illness and promoting healthy lifestyle changes amongst the client’s members. You will play an integral role in their prevention medicine model and will co-ordinate patient in a family medicine setting.
Responsibilities:
· Co-ordination of patient care
· Patient intake and triage
· Performing Health Assessments and Reviews
· Ordering laboratory tests
· Counselling patients on mental health
· Counselling patients on lifestyle habits and prevention
· Prescribing medication
· Assessing patient and creating plans in follow up to assessments
· Making referrals and coordination of diagnostic testing in collaboration with family physicians
· Coordinating care with dietitians and kinesiologists
Qualifications:
· Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner
· CARNA registration in good standing
· Ability to treat a diverse population - adults and children
· Knowledge and experience in primary care
