MPA Recruitment are excited to announce that we are recruiting 6 full time Social Workers (Band 6) in partnership with a local Belfast based client. Shifts will be allocated on a rotational basis, covering the full week
JOB SUMMARY/MAIN PURPOSE:
The Residential Social Worker will be part of the Residential Unit team, providing therapeutic residential care for children aged 5-11 years old.
The primary aim of the social worker as the keyworker, is to build a therapeutic working relationship with the service user, to address their specific challenges.
Social workers must be knowledgeable about legislation, policies and community issues that affect their clients, with an awareness of development and Safeguarding procedures.
Salary:
Band 6 £18.10 - £28.96 per hour
Essential Criteria/Competencies Required
· Hold a recognised Professional qualification in social work
· Have NISCC registration or be eligible for registration or have lodged/ is willing to lodge an application with the NISCC.
· Only those applicants who state clearly on their application form that they have the required level of qualification will be considered for interview.
Experience in working with children and young people who have experienced significant trauma.
* Current full driving licence.
