​MPA has been retained by a leading Canadian Family Office/Business Advisory firm to recruit a Sr. Bookkeeper, Enterprise to join their team in Toronto.Founded in 1926, this 600-person multidisciplinary team continuously innovates to create value for our people, clients, and community in Canada and in the US. This Sr Bookkeeper must have experience with investment write-up and public accounting.

 

A day in the life of a Senior Bookkeeper:

 

·       Investment bookkeeping including reconciliation with broker statements and tax reporting slips.

·       Full cycle accounting including A/P, A/R, bank and credit card reconciliation and month end journal entries.

·       Preparation of supporting documents for year-end preparation for internal accounting team

·       Preparation and filing of HST/GST returns

·       Preparation of payroll schedules and related source deduction.

·       Other Government reporting including EHT and WSIB.

·       Correspondence with Canada Revenue Agency, as required.

·       What we are looking for:

 

University degree or college diploma.

·       Investment bookkeeping (a must)

·       3 to 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience

·       QuickBooks skills are a must have as well as knowledge and experience in a variety of software applications including Caseware, Caseview, Write Up, Tax Prep, Excel and other MS Office Applications.

·       Have a self-starter attitude with well-developed time management skills and the commitment to meeting deadlines

·       Have proven problem solving capabilities including ingenuity, analytical skills and creativity

·       Possess exceptional technical skills and a fine attention to detail

·       Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare and clearly present information to our clients and team

·       Public accounting experience will be a definite plus.
