MPA are delighted to be recruiting a Band 3 Ward Clerk to join our team in the Coleraine area. This position will be based in a hospital setting and will have an immediate start available. The successful candidate will provide administrative support the including data entry and reception duties.

 

Job Duties

  • Provide a clerical service to the Ward/Department Manager, Nursing Staff and other professionals.

  • Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Continual use of VDU to provide information as required.

  • Order and maintain an adequate supply of stationery as required by the ward/department through nonstock, stock and high-density storage system.

  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained.

  • Ensure adherence to NHSCT policy on Infection Control/Bare below the elbow.

  • Provide emergency cover for colleagues on a short-term basis.

  • Use of equipment within the department eg fax, photocopier in accordance with the Trust policies and procedures and maintenance of the same.

  • Report of faults to Estates Department, IT Department and telephony.

  • Maintain a high standard of service including good timekeeping in the workplace as required to meet the needs of the service.

  • Daily cleaning of notes trolleys, phones and computer with appropriate cleaning product as defined by Infection Control.

Essential Criteria

·         5 GCSEs including GCSE Maths and English or Equivalent at Grade C or above

And

·         1year ward clerk experience

 

Further Information

·         3-5 days a week

·         Pay rate: £11.67-£19.72

·         Weekly Pay

·         Holiday Fund

·         8am-4pm or 8:30am-4pm
